Open Board / Grero through history -- continued

Strictly a footnote to those 18 emperors et al......

"For the ancient Irish, sucking the king’s nipples was a way of showing submission."

99.999% of people who read it will think it's ridiculous, meaningless nonsense. A few will see it for what it is, IMHO -- state homoeroticism.

Have you seen the 2013 movie Leather, andkon? (Am I repeating myself.) It meets your stricter definition of Grero -- masculine likes masculine. Here the city hunk falls for the mountain man over his puerile, androgynous, multi-pierced boyfriend

Ahhh, you post Stefan. What a great, terrific sign!

You're actually a kind of right-leaning populist -- in the proper, healthy sense of the word that was universally accepted until psychopathic politicians recently started ruining it. I haven't watched the video, am just stopping in briefly, but plan to later in youtube. (Possibly for the second time.)

Stefan was a bit crazy till just a couple of years ago, but like Trump and a lot of people he's been getting smarter by the day.

Right thinking clashes with everything in the gay "movement," except that some gays have gotten real on the evils of Zionism of late, eliciting screams of "hatred" and "anti-semitism" from the thought police. Of course deep down liberals are all the things they claim to despise. Much as they may parrot the slogans their college teachers would want them to, casual conversation with them (or a glance at their actual lifestyle) normally shows it's pure posturing.

I don't know if it's the title or the leading image...

That's funny! An obvious explanation suggests itself  :-]

Well -- nice! I think Ron Paul would readily approve.

I guess most people upside of about 40 inwardly or outwardly crave somebody younger to boogie with. Notably but not (!) only us fags. Leonard Cohen put it rather jadedly, if cleverly....

"Haters want the "enemy" well-defined and recognizable -- this takes the attention off of the haters." Now that's a good point in particular.

Realistically I think we have to understand countries that don't want "gay liberation" movements -- and IMHO that's really really what's at issue here. Most societies have some level of tolerance for discreet gayness, but when the harpies start parading naked and demolishing the existing culture and legal system it just polarizing everything. Ruins it, really.

All liberally-approved movements have polarization at their core. It didn't have to be this way, but it is. I suspect tolerance would have evolved without the militants' help, just as slavery was phased out in numerous societies like our own without a melodramatic bankers' war meaninglessly costing 650,000 lives. America is a land of extremes, usually involving violence.

Perhaps the heterosexual nuclear family is the myth and homosexuality/grero is the reality.  That's what you just admitted.

On the contrary, tony has just voiced the achilles heel of grero (its blithe and freewheeling acceptance of sexual hedonism a priori) and the bedrock reality that cannot coexist with it. Not to mention the curse we guys are under that drives us to choose the former!

Ultimately it's a crazy world in which nothing actually fits together. But any society that wants to have a stable, healthy future will have to proscribe "sexual freedom". No matter how you slice it, somebody's going to suffer badly -- the chaste or the libertines. Because of diseases, I for one could no more imagine visiting a prostitute than jumping off a cliff, but that's just me. Antibiotics are losing their power as we speak.

Well, race is obvious but how much importance we give to it can change. Left-handed people were treated pretty badly, but now there's no discrimination: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bias_against_left-handed_people

Interesting that this came up here and you're uncomfortable with it, andkon. For all the gaudy waving and flaunting of rainbows, we gays are among the whitest and most "racist" crowds on earth. Liberally-dogmatized "diversity" is a fraud and needs to be trashed.

I put "racist" in quotes, because the concept is actually a wrecking ball against civilization, a smear-word that's ending way too many careers over absolutely nothing. Most people love whiteness and it's time they just admitted it -- because it's reality. "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature"......

Are you still with us, Scott? Would like to hear more of your meaning here.

IMHO, the big strange tragedy of gay history is that societies seem to have tolerated (or blessed) every possible thing between two males except adult love matches -- unless, of course, they were in line to get killed e.g soldiers.

Wow, great info there. Must keep up with it. Already copying some to a little email zine I do, with credit to you.

Love the story about the young von Trapp descendant getting married despite his obvious androgeny. If they're that happy, here's to them. The real shame is the shaming by people who detest anything wholesome. Don't you think?

Refreshing honesty. We must diligently (if often quietly) bust the reverse stereotypes dogmatically laid down by the self-appointed arbiters of gay power. They want an end to labels and clichés -- let's let 'em have it!

1960s button: How dare you assume I'm straight.

Motto needed today: How dare you assume I'm a lockstep liberal hedonist just because I'm gay.
